This photo, likely taken from the window of a house by the level crossing, from the top of the Rue de la Station or the Rue de la Gare at the time, shows the requisition of horses and carts by the Germans at the time of the First World War.
The requisition took place in September 1914. Farmers had to bring to the appointed place some of their carts, necessary for the transportation of goods, soldiers and doubtless munitions for the German army too.
