Here's an interesting photo, likely one of M. Pochet's, which depicts for us a regiment of French soldiers resting in Rue de la Station (now Avenue Albert I).

This place hadn't yet been built. You can see, in the background, Dr Rolin's house.

These were Breton soldiers from the 48th Guingamp Infantry Regiment who made a stop at Fosses on Friday 21st August before leaving for the battles of Arsimont, where many would meet their death. Colonel De Flotte was in command of the regiment.
