Attractive middle-class house whose main frontage is embellished with pretty, stylised motifs.

We can see that the street was already adorned with small acacias, recently planted. In front of and at the windows, eleven German soldiers pose, very relaxed, without any awkwardness.

Through the leaves of the acacia the sign 'Buro' can be distinguished: the residence, requisitioned, was occupied for four years by a sort of Kommandantur.

However, another photo, of the same spot, shows the departure of the Germans on 11th November 1918 to the great joy of the people.
