You are at the first beach in Costa da Morte and the main one of Caión, one of most popular beaches in the region and most liked by holidaymakers.

Its shape varies depending on the tide and at low tide joins the beaches of Caracoleiro and Cárecere Vello. When this happens, you can walk from one end to the other and go over its 800 metre length without leaving the footpath.

Take off your shoes and enjoy the experience of walking on the fine white sand and you will see how the rhythm of your feet is marked by the sound of the waves.

You will find that the beach is sheltered and is an ideal area for surfing and other watersports.

If you decide to explore the area, you will find ample parking, picnic areas, access with stone and wood steps, which are adapted for disabled people. It also has toilets, a lifeguard service and daily cleaning in the summer.

In As Salseiras the blue flag usually flies and that certifies the quality of its services.

Be sure to enjoy all the views of this beach, walking the coastal path that runs along the the entire coast of Caion.
