The beach and the dune system of Melide are a perfect place to see and understand the importance of these ecosystems. We can also go underwater (physically or virtually) in the sea where submarine ecosystems show a great richness and biodiversity. For this reason these islands were declared national park.
The 86% of the surface of the park is maritime so we can have an idea of the amazing richness of these seabeds or the “inter tidal area”. Also we can understand phenomenon as decisive as the influence of tides and the “emergences” as well as the “ardora” or “ardentía”.
