Much of the wood used during construction at The Grove—including beams, floor boards, and trim—can still be found throughout the home. This decorative corner block is in the form of a stylized anthemion and common to Greek Revival architecture. Skilled carpenters recreated individual corner blocks to replace deteriorated elements where appropriate.
